Hay Making on the Green
You may have noticed the article by the Parks Trust in the centre pages of the recent OWPC Spring Newsletter which highlighted all the activities of the Parks Trust within our parish. Most of the green spaces within the parish are managed and maintained by the Parks Trust.
One of the pictures on page 4 of the newsletter showed hay being cut on the Green for the Parks Trust. That picture was taken from a video taken in the very hot July last year, that captured this most idyllic summer activity which epitomises the British countryside. Yet here it was in the middle of the parish and in the middle of Milton Keynes. Although this post refers to “hay making”, the straw was being wrapped in plastic to produce haylage.

Those bird watchers amongst you might notice the red kites wheeling around looking for a tasty morsel.
