Support & Services for People with Sight and Hearing Loss

I am writing to all Parish Councils to make you aware of the Sensory Advice Resource Centre (SARC).  We are funded by Milton Keynes Council to provide support for people living in the Milton Keynes Council Tax area who have a diagnosed sight or hearing loss. I have attached a copy of our service leaflet giving further information about the support we provide.

As a result of the COVID19 pandemic, the team are currently working remotely, but we are still able to respond to requests for support using the contact details on the leaflet.

We are receiving a number of requests from people who are not able to get their hearing aid batteries from the GP surgery as usual.  In response to this, we are now able to post out a limited number of hearing aid batteries on request.  We can also post out replacement hearing aid tubing and give advice over the phone, by email or SMS about any issues around sight and hearing loss.
