No. 18 Bus
In December a number of residents asked if the Number 18 could stop at Waitrose. The reply was yes but a stop would have to come out, namely the hospital. On most journeys nobody gets off at the hospital as the service is so infrequent that it is unlikely to coincide with anybody’s appointment and there is always the Community Car Service.
Would you ride this bus to Waitrose?
As many of you will have observed, this bus service is exceedingly under used and it costs £80k in annual subsidy. With MKC facing increasingly tight budgets there is definite risk of losing the service.
